Healthy Sioux County Coalition – this a working group coalition made up of multisector partners that include individuals from Sioux County schools, libraries, clinics, mental health partners, substance use/abuse partners, etc. This coalition was formed to focus specifically on the needs identified in the Sioux County Community Health Assessment. Coalition members work together to plan and carry out events/initiatives that will help to “move the needle” on the health needs identified in our county. A shared sentiment for this group is “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”  One of the most recognizable initiatives of the coalition is the Chalk The Walk for Mental Health Awareness in May.

The three top needs in Sioux County that the coalition is focusing on (as identified in the 2025 Community Health Assessment) are:

  • Mental Health
  • Overweight & Obesity
  • Challenges in Navigating Systems

The Healthy Sioux County Coalition meets on the third Monday of alternating months (Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct, Dec) at 1pm. We meet in a hybrid format: in-person at the Community Health Partners office for those able to meet in person and also on Zoom for those unable to attend in-person.
