Immunizations can protect your child from many serious illnesses. Many of these immunizations are required for school/ college entry.

Immunization information can seem overwhelming, especially for first-time parents. If you have any questions or concerns about immunizations, to best place for information is your family medical provider or Community Health Partners.   Community Health Partners’ immunization nurses understand that you want to do what is best for your child’s health, and would be very happy to help with any questions or concerns.

Here is a link to more information from the CDC about immunizations http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/.

— If your child has health insurance (including Hawk-i) that covers immunizations, he or she should get shots at your medical provider.

— If your child has health insurance that does not cover any immunizations, he or she should get shots at Community Health Partners in Orange City or Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center.

— If your child is on Medicaid, he or she should get shots at Community Health Partners or at one of the following medical clinics (please note that a fee may be charged at the medical clinics, call ahead for details): Hawarden Regional Healthcare Clinic, Hegg Memorial Medical Clinic, Hull Medical Clinic, Promise Community Health Center, and Sioux Center Medical Clinic.
